Lee & Megan's 4-H Camp Wedding

Hello everyone! Wow, it has been a long time since I have blogged. In fact, it has been such a long time that I had to make it my New Year’s resolution to get caught up! In order to do that, I’ve got to go back in time and start from the beginning of 2013. So, here we go!

Megan & Lee: 4-H Camp Wedding

It seems like every year I spend my birthdays stuck inside because of a terrible snowstorm. I used to love spending my birthdays in the snow, but it seems like the older I get, the more the snowballs seem to hurt (sometimes I feel like I’m 29 going on 49). So, naturally, when Lee and Megan mentioned that they were going to be getting married the day after my birthday, I immediately began to think that the flower girl and ring bearer were probably going to have to clear the aisle for Megan with a mini snow plow.

Luckily, on January 5, 2013, we enjoyed one of the most beautiful, sunny days in January that I can remember! In fact, everyone was so relaxed that the girls even lost track of time.  Fortunately, they managed to get Megan’s dress laced up just minutes before she was to go down the aisle.  However, all worries were wiped away when I saw the look on Lee's face as he saw his beautiful bride walking down the aisle.

After a wonderful ceremony, it was time to turn off the house lights get the dance party started. I had been especially looking forward to shooting the reception because the room was decorated with Christmas lights, which draw my eye like a magnet.  However, it was the moment when members of the wedding party decided to don the Chinese lanterns over their heads and start doing the "robot" that caught my eye the most.  Those definitely made for some fun shots!

Megan and Lee’s wedding day was all about fun and family, which reminds me of why I love what I do.  In fact, I can already tell that I'm really going to love this little trip down Memory Lane, as I continue to blog about the other weddings I photographed in 2013 over the next several weeks.
